Our Story
Our mission began in 2013 when a local rescue was contacted by a Good Samaritan with forty three unaltered cats. Joining forces volunteers from four local rescues were able to catch, transport, neuter, and vaccinate all of the cats to ensure no additional cats were born. Realizing the results that can be accomplished when we work together, TNR Riverside was formed to address the lack of resources in our area for community cats and their caregivers.
How TNR Works
Trap-Neuter-Return does work! TNR benefits the cats and the community. Cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, ear tipped (the universal symbol to a neutered and vaccinated cat) and then returned to their outdoor home. The colony's population stabilizes - no more kittens! TNR improves their lives, and improves their relations with the community.
